1. Privacy at a glance
Finsway is a manual money-planning application. It does not require online-banking credentials, connect directly to bank accounts, import transaction histories, hold funds, or initiate payments.
- You decide what planning information enters the application.
- Finsway does not sell your financial-planning information.
- Your information is used to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
- You can ask questions about your information or request account deletion.
2. Information we handle
When you create and use an account, Finsway may handle:
- account details such as your name, email address, and authentication information;
- planning information you enter, such as balances, income sources, direct costs, fund names, allocations, goals, and planned payments;
- technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device, browser, log, and diagnostic data; and
- messages, feedback, or support requests you choose to send.
Do not enter online-banking credentials, card numbers, or information you do not have the right to use.
3. How information is used
Finsway uses information where reasonably necessary to:
- create and manage your account;
- save and display your plan;
- perform calculations requested through the application;
- protect accounts and maintain service security;
- provide support and respond to questions;
- diagnose errors and improve reliability; and
- meet legal obligations.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, Finsway processes information as necessary to provide the service requested by users, comply with legal obligations, protect the security and reliability of the service, pursue legitimate interests that do not override users’ rights, or with consent where consent is required.
Planning information is used to provide the features requested by the user. Technical, diagnostic and feedback information may be used to improve security, reliability and usability.
Finsway does not use your planning information to move money or make financial decisions on your behalf.
5. Retention and your choices
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after account deletion.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements. You may also stop using Finsway at any time.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to data portability, restriction or objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and making a complaint to a competent data-protection authority.
6. Security
Finsway uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login details confidential and contact info@finsway.app if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
7. Automated decisions
Finsway does not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Children’s privacy
Finsway is intended for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. If we learn that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
9. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, our practices or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change materially affects users, we will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate.
